My journey at St. Matthias began in 1990 as a student teacher while attending Marquette University. I was blessed to be hired as a classroom teacher before graduation, and this community has been my second family ever since. This faith-filled, loving community has always felt like home. Over the decades, I have had the unique joy of teaching the children—and even grandchildren—of my former students. I have even had the privilege of working side-by-side on staff with former students who became teachers, and even our current principal! There is truly no greater pride or joy than when former students and their families return to visit, sharing how much St. Matthias impacted their lives. Being immersed in my Catholic faith daily while nurturing these generations of young minds is a gift I cherish deeply. My husband and I have been married since 1993, and our three adult children are proud St. Matthias alumni. In my free time, I love being with my family, playing with our dog, gardening, cooking, baking, hosting family and friends, playing board games, and enjoying nature.
