Prior to working at St. Matthias, I grew up going to Oak Creek public schools where I graduated from Oak Creek High school in 2011. I then attended MATC for a year or so before finding my calling and transferring to UW-Stevens Point where I received my B.A. in education with a license to teach grades K-12th in both Physical education and Health. I was a substitute for some time, and then received my first teaching opportunity at St. Charles Borromeo and Our Lady Queen of Peace in Milwaukee. I was blessed to be there for 4 years, and then wanted full time at one school so I moved over to St. Mary's Hales Corners for 4 years.
I was actually asked to come and help the PE teacher at St. Matthias when I was working for St. Charles. I always thought the gym space was pretty nice, and when I found out a few years later they were looking for a PE, Health and Athletic Director I had to apply. I was looking for a new challenge and a place to make a real difference.
When it comes to myself, I have 3 sisters and a brother with several nieces/nephews. My parents have "retired" and been traveling and living nomadically the last 5 years. I have been blessed to go and see them over summers and holidays: I have seen them in Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New York selling Christmas trees. I love all things sports and teaching kids skills and hobbies to keep them healthy and active over their lives. I love coaching basketball and running camps. I love fishing and camping, playing video games, watching movies, hanging with friends and family.
